Tyler Onyedim is a double-stream nightmare, plain and simple. His ability to 2-gap blockers and still make the tackle is remarkable. At 6 ‘3’’, 295 lbs, Onyedim had the ideal size for an interior defensive lineman, and his play style matches his physical characteristics. Onyedim deals violent knockback at the point of attack and can easily shed blockers. Oyedim is also an above-average athlete for his size, and he has put multiple plays on tape of him tracking ball carriers sideline to sideline. Onyedim is a versatile interior lineman who is naturally a 3-tech but has the strength to play a 2i in certain defensive schemes. Omydedim is not a fluid pass rusher, but he can collapse the pocket with a bull rush or long arms. Onyedim’s strength and motor project well at the next level, and he will be an asset to any defensive line unit on first and second down.

Scheme/Team Fit:
Onyedim will fit best in a 4-3 defensive scheme as an athletic 3-tech. The New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts defenses would be ideal fits for Onyedim, as both systems value length and versatility at the defensive line.
NFL Player Comparison:
Onyedim’s player comparison is Ogbonnia Okoronkwo. Both are versatile, high-effort players with great length.
Grade/Round Projection:
Onyedim projects as an average starter as he has the playmaking ability to be a consistent force in the run game. Onydeim grades out as a 5 out of 7 and will be a third-round pick.
