Devin Moore is a cornerback from Naples High School in Naples, Florida. Moore was a highly touted recruit out of high school, selected to the All-American Bowl and named a 2022 Adidas All-American. Despite numerous other offers, Moore elected to stay home and play for the Gators. Moore spent all four years at Florida, but was severely limited by injuries. Moore showed flashes in his first three years, but injuries kept him off the field for most of that time. However, Moore stayed healthy throughout 2025 in his final season as a Gator and had a career year. Moore posted career highs in PBUs and tackles, while staying healthier than he was in previous years. His loyalty and perseverance throughout his career will be viewed positively by NFL teams.

Devin Moore possesses elite length and size for a corner at 6’3. Moore pairs his length with a lean, compact frame at 198 pounds. Moore’s long strides allow him to move quickly. Additionally, Moore has a solid burst for his size and solid play strength when matched with receivers. Moore’s hip fluidity is solid for his size, which allows him to stay in-phase and mirror receivers when he plays with good leverage. His ability to squeeze routes and use the sidelines to his advantage is very impressive. His long strides allow him to trail receivers and recover. Moore is at his best in zone, specifically cover 3, where he is able to sit back and read the quarterback’s eyes. His ability to accelerate and break is solid, which is good enough with his ability to play with very good leverage. Moore is a smart football player who passes off routes very well. With an average burst, Moore has been caught flat-footed at times, which must improve, along with simply staying healthy, if he wants to reach his full potential.

Moore displays a high football IQ, consistently recognizing route concepts and maintaining proper positioning over the top of receivers. When in off coverage, his ability to process plays is magnified. His football IQ, paired with his athletic abilities, allows Moore to fly around the field as a competitive player. Moore has active hands, which allow him to be very successful in press coverage and break up passes. His length makes it difficult to make contested catches in coverage. One thing I would like to see Moore improve on is taking advantage of situations since he is able to get his hands on the ball so often and create takeaways. Additionally, Moore will have to improve his tackling. Although he has improved throughout his career, Moore will need to continue to improve his ability to get off of blocks and finish plays. Moore should improve his tackling, since he possesses great physical ability, motor, and aggressiveness, and has already improved significantly in this category throughout his collegiate career. Moore has all the abilities and traits he will need to succeed, but the main question will be if he will be durable enough to stay on the field consistently. If he can, Moore will be playing football in the NFL for a long time.

Scheme Fit and Team Fit:

Moore would thrive in a defense that utilizes significant Cover 1 and Cover 3 concepts. Some of the teams Moore would fit well with are the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, and Los Angeles Chargers.

NFL Player Comp: Benjamin St Juste

Moore’s style of play is very similar to Benjamin St Juste’s. Both possess similar builds: long and tall. Both are bigger corners that play with leverage and thrive in off-man coverage or schemes with lots of cover 1 and 3. Moore can contribute as a boundary corner immediately, in a similar role to how St Juste did early on in his career.

Projection: Low End Starter

Moore projects as a starting boundary corner in the NFL, utilizing his ability to play with good leverage. Quicker receivers could give Moore some trouble, but Moore has the ability to match up well with the average NFL receiver.

Grade and Round Projection: 4.4 Grade | Early Day 3 Projection

Moore earned a 4.4 grade, which I believe is a good grade for him. He projects as an early Day 3 pick, with teams potentially getting a steal if he can stay healthy. Moore has the physical tools to succeed, but durability will be the primary concern in determining his long-term impact.
