Mansoor Delane is a 6 ‘0, 190-pound outside man corner back from LSU. He started his career at Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Maryland. Mansoor was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2022, ranked 55th among cornerbacks and 650th nationally. He signed with Virginia Tech on December 15th, 2021. He played at Virginia Tech from 2022 through 2024, then transferred to LSU on December 16th, 2024, for his final college season. As a freshman at Virginia Tech, he was named a true freshman All-American. In 2025, Delane was a unanimous All-American and was named to the first-team All-SEC. During his career, he totaled 191 combined tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 8 interceptions, 27 pass breakups, 4 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery.
Delane has a lean, athletic build, rumored to have a 40 time of 4.44, which shows on tape with his impressive long speed. He shows good burst through his breaks and possesses great recovery speed. Delane is good at playing his assignment in zone coverage, communicating well, and knowing when to switch when necessary. His ability to read the QB is truly impressive. His breaking ability is great, consistently taking away screenplays. He matches the receiver’s route step by step outstandingly. Mansoor’s ability to adjust to the play is quite impressive. Elite use of hands in press throws the receiver’s timing off and stalls them while they try to develop their route. His mirroring and ability to stay stride for stride is outstanding. He squeezes the receiver’s route very well, forcing them into safety help while throwing off their overall timing with great efficiency. Delane is great at the catch point vs. bigger receivers and possesses good hands. He fights through the receiver to get to the ball to knock it out. His timing in attacking the ball is very good. He also times his punches very well, forcing the ball out. When he jumps to make a play, his timing is outstanding and disrupts the catch process very well. Delane had a 27.5 passer rating allowed in 2025, which is well beyond elite, and allowed 0 touchdowns. Elite at flipping his hips, allowing him to mirror the receiver. He is also great at using his leverage to cut off the receiver’s route. Delane is solid in open space, with a good-enough wrap-up technique. He needs to show more effort and urgency in the run game. Along with having more aggression going downhill. While making tackles, he does aim a little high around the shoulder to the neck area, and he should be aiming around the receiver’s hips.
Delane is one of the most instinctive corners in college football, knowing where to position himself before the ball is even thrown. He allowed a 27.5 passer rating in 2025, along with 0 touchdowns given up. He also possesses elite cover skills, throwing receivers timing off and positioning himself to make a play on the ball with great efficiency. His ability to read the quarterback is outstanding, knowing exactly when to break on the route. If Delane gains 10 to 15 pounds of muscle and improves in the run game, he will be one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL during his professional playing career.
