Est. 1960
Founded in 1960 as an AFL charter member, the Bills are the only NFL franchise to appear in four consecutive Super Bowls (1991–94). Based in Orchard Park, NY, they have produced legends like Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, and Andre Reed. Josh Allen has led a modern resurgence, making the Bills perennial AFC contenders.
Miami Dolphins
Est. 1966
The Dolphins are the only team in NFL history to complete a perfect season, going 17-0 in 1972 under coach Don Shula. They won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1973 and 1974. Dan Marino, the greatest pure passer of his era, never won a championship but set records that stood for decades.
New England Patriots
Est. 1960
The Patriots are the most successful dynasty of the Super Bowl era, winning six championships. The Bill Belichick–Tom Brady partnership (2001–2019) is the greatest coach-quarterback tandem in NFL history. Based in Foxborough, MA, they also produced legends like Rob Gronkowski and Randy Moss.
New York Jets

The Jets won their only Super Bowl in January 1969 (Super Bowl III), when quarterback Joe Namath famously guaranteed a victory over the heavily favored Baltimore Colts. Based at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, the Jets have been rebuilding toward a second title ever since.

Baltimore Ravens
Est. 1996
Relocated from Cleveland in 1996, the Ravens quickly built a winning culture. They won Super Bowl XXXV (2001) behind one of the greatest defenses in NFL history, led by linebacker Ray Lewis, and Super Bowl XLVII (2013) with Joe Flacco. Lamar Jackson has since redefined the quarterback position.
Cincinnati Bengals

Founded by legendary coach Paul Brown in 1968, the Bengals have appeared in two Super Bowls (1982, 1989) and made a stunning run to Super Bowl LVI in 2022 behind quarterback Joe Burrow and receiver Ja’Marr Chase, reigniting passion in the Who Dey Nation.
Cleveland Browns
Est. 1946
One of the most storied franchises in football history, the Browns won four AAFC titles and three NFL championships. Jim Brown, widely considered the greatest running back of all time, played all nine of his NFL seasons in Cleveland. The franchise returned as an expansion team in 1999.
Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are tied for the most Super Bowl championships in NFL history with six titles. The 1970s “Steel Curtain” dynasty, featuring Mean Joe Greene, Lynn Swann, and Terry Bradshaw, is considered the greatest team era in league history. Ben Roethlisberger led two more titles in the 2000s.

Established as an expansion franchise in 2002, the Texans quickly became a force in the AFC South. Defensive end J.J. Watt became one of the most dominant players in NFL history during his time in Houston, winning three Defensive Player of the Year awards. C.J. Stroud leads their current charge.
Indianapolis Colts

Originally the Baltimore Colts — champions of the 1958 “Greatest Game Ever Played” — the franchise relocated to Indianapolis in 1984. Quarterback Peyton Manning led them to Super Bowl XLI in 2007 and remains one of the most accomplished passers in NFL history.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Est. 1995
The Jaguars debuted in 1995 and stunned the NFL by reaching the AFC Championship Game in just their second season. The team has produced stars like Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Calais Campbell. Under head coach Doug Pederson and quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the Jags have rebuilt into a contender.
Tennessee Titans

Originally the Houston Oilers — AFL charter members in 1960 — the franchise relocated to Tennessee in 1997 and rebranded as the Titans in 1999. They reached Super Bowl XXXIV, losing by one yard on the final play. Running back Derrick Henry became one of the most feared rushers in the modern era.

The Broncos have won three Super Bowls — back-to-back in Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII behind John Elway, and Super Bowl 50 with Peyton Manning and a historic defense. “Mile High” in Denver is one of the most electric atmospheres in the NFL.
Kansas City Chiefs

Originally the Dallas Texans, the Chiefs won the second AFL championship and Super Bowl IV. Patrick Mahomes has led the franchise to four Super Bowl titles (2020, 2023, 2024, 2025), building the greatest dynasty of the modern era. Arrowhead Stadium ranks among the loudest venues in sports.
Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders — originally the Oakland Raiders — are one of the most iconic franchises in NFL history, winning three Super Bowls (1977, 1981, 1984). Known for their outlaw culture and the “Autumn Wind,” they relocated to Las Vegas in 2020 and play in the stunning Allegiant Stadium.
Los Angeles Chargers

AFL charter members in 1960, the Chargers won the 1963 AFL championship. They relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles in 2017. Known for offensive fireworks, the Chargers produced Hall of Famers like Dan Fouts, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Antonio Gates. Justin Herbert leads the current era.

Nicknamed “America’s Team,” the Cowboys are one of the most valuable sports franchises in the world. They have won five Super Bowls, with back-to-back titles in 1993–94 under Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin. Jerry Jones has owned the team since 1989.

One of the NFL’s founding franchises, the Giants have won four Super Bowls. Eli Manning’s back-to-back Super Bowl MVPs (XLII and XLVI) — both shocking upsets of the undefeated New England Patriots — stand as two of the greatest moments in NFL history.

One of the NFL’s original franchises, Washington has won three Super Bowls (1983, 1988, 1992) under legendary coach Joe Gibbs. The franchise rebranded from the Redskins to the Washington Football Team and finally to the Commanders in 2022 under new ownership.

The Bears are one of the NFL’s founding members and have won nine championships, including Super Bowl XX (1986) with the iconic “46 Defense” and Walter Payton — considered one of the greatest players in history. Known as the “Monsters of the Midway,” they play at Soldier Field.
Detroit Lions

The Lions won four NFL championships in the pre-Super Bowl era, with Barry Sanders — one of the most electrifying runners in history — carrying the franchise for a decade in the 1990s. Under Dan Campbell, the Lions have experienced a dramatic resurgence, making the NFC Championship Game in 2024.

The Packers are the only publicly owned franchise in the NFL, owned by their fans in Green Bay, WI. They have won four Super Bowls and 13 total NFL championships — the most in league history. Legends include Bart Starr, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers, who won four consecutive MVP awards.

The Vikings have appeared in four Super Bowls without a win, yet produced some of the greatest players in NFL history: Fran Tarkenton, Carl Eller, Randy Moss, and Adrian Peterson. The “Minneapolis Miracle” in 2018 remains one of the most stunning plays in playoff history.

Atlanta Falcons
Est. 1966
The Falcons have appeared in two Super Bowls, most notably Super Bowl LI against the Patriots, where they infamously led 28-3 before losing in overtime — the largest comeback in Super Bowl history. Matt Ryan won the 2016 NFL MVP and Michael Vick redefined the quarterback position.
Carolina Panthers

An expansion team in 1995, the Panthers reached the Super Bowl in just their second season (1996). Cam Newton’s 2015 MVP season — where he led the team to a 15-1 record and a Super Bowl appearance — was one of the most dominant individual seasons in NFL history.
New Orleans Saints

The Saints won their only Super Bowl (XLIV) in 2010, just five years after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. That victory carried deep cultural significance for the city. Drew Brees became the NFL’s all-time passing yards leader during his 15 seasons in New Orleans.

The Buccaneers won their first Super Bowl (XXXVII, 2003) with Jon Gruden’s defense dominating Oakland. Tom Brady’s arrival in 2020 immediately produced a second Lombardi Trophy (Super Bowl LV), making Brady the only player to win a championship with multiple franchises.

The Cardinals are the oldest franchise in professional football, tracing roots to 1898 in Chicago. They won NFL championships in 1925 and 1947, and made their only Super Bowl appearance in XLIII (2009), losing a classic game to Pittsburgh on a last-second touchdown by Santonio Holmes.
Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have won two Super Bowls — the “Greatest Show on Turf” era title in Super Bowl XXXIV (2000) and Super Bowl LVI (2022) at home in SoFi Stadium, the first team to win the championship in their home stadium. They relocated from St. Louis back to Los Angeles in 2016.

The 49ers are one of the most storied dynasties in sports, winning five Super Bowls between 1982 and 1995. The Joe Montana–Jerry Rice combination is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback-receiver duo in history. The franchise has returned to prominence under Kyle Shanahan.
