Buffalo Bills

Est. 1960

Founded in 1960, the Bills are the only team in NFL history to appear in four consecutive Super Bowls (1991–94). Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, and Andre Reed defined the era. Josh Allen has led a modern resurgence making Buffalo a perennial AFC powerhouse.

Miami Dolphins

Est. 1966

The only team in NFL history to complete a perfect season, going 17–0 in 1972 under Don Shula, then winning back-to-back Super Bowls (VII and VIII). Dan Marino — arguably the greatest pure passer of his era — set records that stood for decades. They play at Hard Rock Stadium.

New England Patriots

Est. 1960

Founded in 1960 as the Boston Patriots, New England became the most successful dynasty of the Super Bowl era under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady — six championships together (2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, 2019). No franchise has won more Super Bowls in the salary-cap era.

New York Jets

Est. 1960

Founded in 1960 as the New York Titans, the Jets won Super Bowl III (1969) when Joe Namath famously guaranteed victory over the heavily favored Baltimore Colts — one of the most shocking upsets in sports history that helped legitimize the AFL. They play at MetLife Stadium.

Baltimore Ravens

Est. 1996

Established in 1996 when the Cleveland Browns relocated, the Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV (2001) behind one of the greatest defenses ever — led by Ray Lewis — and Super Bowl XLVII (2013) with Joe Flacco. Lamar Jackson has since redefined the QB position with back-to-back MVPs.

Cincinnati Bengals

Est. 1968

Founded by legendary coach Paul Brown in 1968, the Bengals are known for their distinctive tiger-stripe uniforms. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase led a thrilling run to Super Bowl LVI in 2022, reigniting the passionate “Who Dey Nation” after years of rebuilding.

Cleveland Browns

Est. 1946

Founded in 1946, the Browns won four AAFC titles and three NFL championships. Jim Brown — widely considered the greatest running back of all time — played all nine of his seasons in Cleveland. The franchise is beloved by one of the most loyal blue-collar fanbases in sports.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Est. 1933

Founded in 1933, the Steelers hold the NFL record with six Super Bowl titles. The 1970s “Steel Curtain” defense with Mean Joe Greene, Jack Lambert, and Terry Bradshaw is considered the greatest team era in league history. Ben Roethlisberger added two more titles in 2006 and 2009.

Houston Texans

Est. 2002

The NFL’s 32nd and most recent expansion franchise (2002), the Texans quickly built a competitive team. J.J. Watt became one of the most dominant players in NFL history, winning three Defensive Player of the Year awards. C.J. Stroud has sparked an exciting new era in Houston.

Indianapolis Colts

Est. 1953

Originally the Baltimore Colts (1953) — winners of the legendary 1958 “Greatest Game Ever Played” — the franchise relocated to Indianapolis in 1984. Peyton Manning led them to Super Bowl XLI in 2007 and remains one of the most accomplished passers in football history.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Est. 1995

Expansion team in 1995, the Jaguars stunned the NFL by reaching the AFC Championship Game in just their second season. Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Calais Campbell are franchise icons. Under Doug Pederson and Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville has rebuilt into a playoff contender.

Tennessee Titans

Est. 1960

Originally the Houston Oilers — AFL charter members in 1960 — the franchise relocated to Tennessee in 1997 and became the Titans in 1999. They reached Super Bowl XXXIV, losing by one yard on the final play. Derrick Henry became one of the most feared rushers of the modern era. In 2024, the Titans unveiled a bold new circular logo marking a fresh chapter in franchise history.

Denver Broncos

Est. 1960

AFL charter members (1960), the Broncos have won three Super Bowls — back-to-back under John Elway (XXXII and XXXIII) and Super Bowl 50 behind Peyton Manning’s final season and a historically dominant defense. Empower Field at Mile High is one of sport’s most electric venues.

Kansas City Chiefs

Est. 1960

Originally the Dallas Texans (1960), the Chiefs won Super Bowl IV in 1970. Patrick Mahomes has since built the greatest modern dynasty, leading Kansas City to four Super Bowl titles (2020, 2023, 2024, 2025). Arrowhead Stadium consistently ranks as the loudest stadium in sports.

Las Vegas Raiders

Est. 1960

Founded in 1960 in Oakland, the Raiders built a legendary renegade identity under Al Davis with three Super Bowl victories (XI, XV, XVIII). Known for the “Autumn Wind” and the iconic silver-and-black, they relocated to Las Vegas in 2020 and play at the stunning Allegiant Stadium.

Los Angeles Chargers

Est. 1960

AFL charter members who won the 1963 AFL championship, the Chargers relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles in 2017. Hall of Famers Dan Fouts, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Antonio Gates are franchise legends. Justin Herbert leads their current charge at SoFi Stadium.

Dallas Cowboys

Est. 1960

“America’s Team,” the Cowboys are the most valuable sports franchise in the world. They won five Super Bowls, with the 1990s dynasty of Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin producing back-to-back titles in 1993–94. They play at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

New York Giants

Est. 1925

One of the NFL’s founding franchises (1925), the Giants have won four Super Bowls. Eli Manning’s back-to-back Super Bowl MVPs (XLII and XLVI) — both shocking upsets of the undefeated Patriots — rank among the greatest moments in NFL history. They play at MetLife Stadium.

Philadelphia Eagles

Est. 1933

Founded in 1933, the Eagles are backed by one of the loudest fanbases in sports. After years of heartbreak, Nick Foles and the “Philly Special” delivered Super Bowl LII (2018) over the Patriots. The Eagles play at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

Washington Commanders

Est. 1932

Founded in 1932, this franchise won three Super Bowls (1983, 1988, 1992) under legendary coach Joe Gibbs. Hall of Famers Darrell Green, Art Monk, and John Riggins defined the golden era. The franchise rebranded from the Redskins to the Washington Football Team (2020) and officially became the Commanders in 2022.

Chicago Bears

Est. 1920

One of the NFL’s founding franchises (1920), the Bears won nine championships including Super Bowl XX (1986) with the iconic “46 Defense.” Walter Payton is considered one of the greatest players ever. Known as the “Monsters of the Midway,” they play at Soldier Field.

Detroit Lions

Est. 1930

Founded in 1930, the Lions won four pre-Super Bowl NFL championships. Barry Sanders — one of the most electrifying runners in history — carried the franchise through the 1990s. Under Dan Campbell, Detroit made a stunning resurgence, reaching the NFC Championship Game in 2024.

Green Bay Packers

Est. 1919

Founded in 1919, the Packers are the only publicly owned non-profit franchise in major American pro sports. They have won 13 NFL championships and four Super Bowls. Legends Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers (four consecutive MVPs) define Lambeau Field’s legacy.

Minnesota Vikings

Est. 1961

Founded in 1961, the Vikings have appeared in four Super Bowls without a win, yet produced legends like Fran Tarkenton, Carl Eller, Randy Moss, and Adrian Peterson. The “Minneapolis Miracle” in 2018 remains one of the most stunning plays in playoff history. They play at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Atlanta Falcons

Est. 1966

Founded in 1966, the Falcons are Atlanta’s flagship NFL franchise. Their 2017 season saw them reach Super Bowl LI holding a 28–3 lead before suffering one of the most stunning comebacks in sports history. Matt Ryan won the 2016 NFL MVP. They play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Carolina Panthers

Est. 1995

Established as an expansion team in 1995, the Panthers reached the Super Bowl in just their second season. Cam Newton’s 2015 MVP campaign — a 15–1 record and a Super Bowl appearance — was one of the most dominant individual seasons in NFL history.

New Orleans Saints

Est. 1967

Founded in 1967, the Saints won Super Bowl XLIV (2010) just five years after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans — making it one of the most emotionally significant championships in sports history. Drew Brees became the NFL’s all-time passing yards leader over 15 legendary seasons.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Est. 1976

Founded in 1976, the Buccaneers won Super Bowl XXXVII (2003) behind Jon Gruden’s dominant defense. Tom Brady’s arrival in 2020 produced Super Bowl LV — a dominant 31–9 win over the Chiefs — making Brady the only player to win a championship with two different franchises.

Arizona Cardinals

Est. 1898

Founded in 1898 in Chicago, the Cardinals are the oldest continuously operating professional football franchise. They moved to Arizona in 1988. Their only Super Bowl appearance came in XLIII (2009), falling just short against the Steelers on a last-second touchdown.

Los Angeles Rams

Est. 1936

Founded in 1936 in Cleveland, the Rams have won two Super Bowls — “The Greatest Show on Turf” era title in Super Bowl XXXIV (2000) and Super Bowl LVI (2022) at SoFi Stadium, becoming the first team to win a Super Bowl in their home stadium.

San Francisco 49ers

Est. 1946

Founded in 1946, the 49ers won five Super Bowls between 1982–1995. The Joe Montana–Jerry Rice combination is widely regarded as the greatest QB-receiver duo in history. Kyle Shanahan has led a modern resurgence, with four NFC Championship appearances since 2019.

Seattle Seahawks

Est. 1976

Founded in 1976, the Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII (2014) with the “Legion of Boom” — one of the most dominant defensive performances in championship history. Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch defined the era. Lumen Field is consistently ranked the loudest stadium in the NFL.
