Arizona State football stars Sam Leavitt and Jordyn Tyson are finding big doors opening off the field because of the hard work they put in on the field. Officially announced as Adidas partners on Thursday, the two Sun Devils joined Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola as some of the most recent college athletes to take deals with the apparel giant.
Given that ASU is already an Adidas-sponsored school, the partnership continues to position Leavitt and Tyson in the right place with the brand. As part of the announcement, each player will wear Adidas gear both on and off the field while also participating in additional marketing efforts with the brand.
This transaction is Adidas’s first NIL contracting of the quarterback-receiver duo of Washington Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze, who later played in the national championship game.
Giving Back, Food and Football
The Sun Devil pair also collaborates with Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in a charitable-oriented partnership. All orders of their special menu will donate 10 percent of the money to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
- QB10 Wrap (back on the menu): A warm tortilla stuffed with Nashville hot or grilled chicken, crunchy romaine, juicy tomato, creamy ranch, melted shredded cheese, and a bold splash of buffalo sauce.
- Jordyn Tyson Touchdown Sandwich (new debut): Crispy chicken tenders with a toss of sweet chili, layered with lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard on a bun.
Such products will be sold at every Valley location, such as Mountain America Stadium, and even at its branch in Euless, Texas, 10 miles south of Arlington, where the Big 12 title game will be held.
Players Excited to Make a Difference
Leavitt expressed his excitement about teaming up with Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers again this year. He noted that fans would be able to enjoy the QB10 Wrap throughout the season. He shared his gratitude for working with a company that is deeply connected to the ASU community
and committed to giving back.
The campaign last season, including Skatteburger, which is now starring Cam Skattebo, brought in $13,000 to Phoenix Children’s. The program starts this year with a minimum pledge of 5,000 dollars, which guarantees an even greater impact on the cause. With the help of Adidas deals and community-based partnerships, Sam Leavitt and Jordyn Tyson are building a name on the field and using their platform to transform the world off the field.
