Professional Bio
Yash Padhye is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Midway University and a doctoral candidate in Sport Management at the University of Northern Colorado. His academic and professional work centers on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), sport law, and athlete development, with a strong emphasis on preparing students and athletes to navigate the evolving NIL landscape.
He teaches courses in NIL, sport law, sport analytics, and sport communication, integrating real-world applications such as brand building, intellectual property, and revenue generation strategies. His research explores NIL opportunities, financial literacy among student-athletes, and innovative approaches to sport education, including the use of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.
Beyond the classroom, Yash hosts the “Athlete Insights” podcast, where he engages with athletes and industry professionals about career development and NIL opportunities. He brings both academic expertise and practical insight to his role on the NILVana Sports Faculty Advisory Board, supporting athlete empowerment and education.
