Overview

Brock Bildfell is one of the more intriguing offensive line prospects in the Northeast for the 2027 class. Standing 6-foot-7 and weighing 315 pounds, he already possesses Power Four-caliber size and physical traits that are difficult to teach. Bildfell plays with a nasty demeanor in the run game, consistently finishing blocks and creating movement at the point of attack. While his pass protection technique remains a work in progress, his combination of size, strength, motor, and developmental upside gives him one of the highest ceilings among offensive tackles in his class.

Areas for Development

Evaluation

Bildfell thrives as a downhill run blocker. He fires off the ball with urgency, closes space quickly, and uses his size and strength to overwhelm defenders. His willingness to finish plays stands out immediately on film, as he consistently drives defenders through the whistle and frequently puts opponents on the ground.

For a player carrying 315 pounds, he moves well enough to pull, climb to linebackers, and execute blocks in space. He shows a solid understanding of leverage and assignment football, rarely appearing out of position in the run game. His football IQ and awareness allow him to function effectively in multiple run concepts.

As a pass protector, there is still room for growth. Improving footwork, balance, and overall technique will be important as he faces higher-level competition. However, those areas are coachable, and his natural physical tools provide an excellent foundation for future development.

Projection

Bildfell projects as a Power Four-caliber offensive tackle with significant upside. His elite size, physicality, and run-blocking ability already stand out, and continued development in pass protection could elevate him into one of the more sought-after offensive line recruits in the region. He fits naturally in zone-based rushing attacks but also possesses the physicality to thrive in gap and pin-and-pull concepts.
