At 6’1” and 240 pounds, Class of 2026 standout Morgan Carpenter has been a force for Obion County Central High School, excelling as both a linebacker and tight end. Whether crashing through offensive lines or sealing the edge on offense, Carpenter’s versatility and football IQ make him one of the most complete players in West Tennessee.
This past season, he put together one of the most impressive defensive campaigns in recent memory. Carpenter tallied 160 total tackles, including 108 solo stops, 20 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks, anchoring the Rebels’ defense with consistency and physicality. His closing speed and ability to anticipate plays gave OCCHS a reliable leader in the middle of the field every Friday night.
Career Impact and Leadership
Over his high school career, Carpenter has amassed 312 total tackles, 208 solo, 22 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
